About the estate

The Dutch family-owned winery Wijngoed de Reestlandhoeve is located in the Reestdal valley on the border of Drenthe and Overijssel on sandy and iron-rich soils. Twenty years ago, John and Wilma Huisman made the transition from natural livestock farming to the production of natural quality wines. The estate cultivates the land using natural fertilizers and minerals, while classical music plays through the vineyards. In addition, the B-Corp certified winery combines winemaking with social responsibility by integrating individuals with care needs into daily operations. The estate has received numerous awards for its wines.
