About the estate
The family-owned Wijngaard De Wolfshaar was founded in 2016 by the Bekhuis family in Geesteren in the Twente region. Following years of preparation, the first vines were planted in 2019, leading to the first full harvest in 2021. Spanning over 3000 plants, the estate cultivates five carefully selected grape varieties such as Solaris, Johanniter, and Cabernet Cortis. The winery operates naturally using mildew-tolerant varieties, placing great emphasis on sustainability and manual labor. The portfolio includes white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines.
