About the estate

The Wijngaard Sint-Catharinadal estate in Oosterhout looks back on a long monastic history and cultivates grapes on an area of ten hectares. The sisters of the convent use their own land for viticulture, with the maintenance of the vines and the harvest being carried out manually by employees and volunteers. The planted grape varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Auxerrois, and Gamay, which are used primarily to produce white wines and rosé wines. Following fermentation and maturation in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, the wines are bottled in the spring. The wines are marketed under the estate's own brand name.
