About the estate
The Wijndomein Eekhoek estate was founded in 2019 in Laarne by Caroline De Meyer and Luc Pieters, who transitioned from ornamental plant growing to winemaking. Covering a vineyard area of one hectare, the estate cultivates traditional grape varieties such as Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc, alongside the Italian varieties Nebbiolo and Barbera. For vinification and maturation, the winemakers employ both oak barrels and acacia casks. The produced wines fall under the Vlaamse Landwijn BGA denomination.
