About the estate
The Weinhaus Kissel estate in Saulheim has its origins in an agricultural business founded in 1714, which began focusing on viticulture in 1923. Today, the family manages 23 hectares of vineyards in the Rheinhessen region. The winery looks back on a long history shaped by the reconstruction of the family property after its destruction in 1944. Currently, Karl IV and his wife Marika run the family business, while their son Magnus Karl oversees the winemaking following his studies in Geisenheim. Cultivation is carried out according to the principles of organic farming.
