About the estate

Located in Friedelsheim in the Palatinate region, the Weingut Walter Krebs estate looks back on almost 300 years of family winemaking tradition. Today, the family-run winery cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards with over 20 different grape varieties, including Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer. The vineyards are situated in the Rhine plain between the Palatinate Forest and the Rhine river on weathered loamy sandstone, lime marl, as well as sandy loam and clayey sand. The estate's vineyard sites include the Rosengarten and the Friedelsheimer Schlossgarten, featuring diverse soil structures ranging from limestone to clay and loam. Intensive and sustainable vineyard management forms the foundation for producing high-quality wines with an authentic regional character.
