Weingut Villa Silius

About the estate

The Villa Silius estate is located in the wine-growing municipality of Dienheim in Rhenish Hesse and is managed by Reinhard Martin and Tanja Weber-Martin, who both come from winemaking families with a long tradition. Following a focus on arable farming, they started their joint viticulture in 2008, which today unites vineyards in the Rheinhessen and Nahe wine regions. The vineyard sites extend from Dienheim through Oppenheim to Nierstein in Rheinhessen, and from Feilbingert to Ebernburg along the Nahe. The portfolio consists of eighty percent white wine varieties such as Riesling, Silvaner, and Pinot Blanc, alongside twenty percent red wine varieties including Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. For vinification and maturation in their cellar building completed in 2016, the estate combines modern cellar technology with traditional methods to preserve freshness and varietal fruit aromas.
