About the estate

The Heise am Kranzberg estate is a third-generation family winery located in Nierstein in the Rheinhessen region. The twelve hectares of vineyards are situated at the foot of the Red Slope, covering sites in Nierstein and Schwabsburg. Winemaker Peter Heise cultivates grape varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Saint Laurent. In the historic property featuring a deep vaulted cellar, dry, off-dry, and sweet wines are produced through controlled fermentation. The winery focuses on careful vineyard management and gentle aging in the cellar.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
