About the estate

The family-run Weingut Stauffer GbR is based in Flomborn in the Rheinhessen region. The history of the estate dates back to the twelfth century, and the family has been cultivating vineyards in the surrounding area since 1790. The winery operates according to the low-intervention principle and has been fully certified for organic viticulture since 2021. Alexander Stauffer manages the estate, working among other things with over 90-year-old, own-rooted Portugieser vines on loess soils. The portfolio also features characterful wines from high-altitude limestone sites such as the Feuerberg.
