About the estate
The Schappert winery based in Sponheim in the Nahe region looks back on a long history dating back to 1696. The Huguenot Nickel Schappert established the family tradition of winemaking in the late seventeenth century, which is continued today by Felix Nickel Schappert. The family-run estate is dedicated to elaborate manual labor and cultivates cépages nobles such as Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc. In addition to estate and single-vineyard wines, the portfolio includes limited Grande Reserve varieties and specialties such as Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese.
