Weingut Kost

About the estate

The Kost winery is based in Horrweiler in Rheinhessen and looks back on a history that began in 1833 with the arrival of journeyman cooper Georg Nikolaus Kost. Today, the estate is managed in the sixth generation, while the seventh generation is already growing up. The vineyard area covers ten hectares, where the vines grow predominantly on loamy soils in the districts of Horrweiler and Zotzenheim. The wines are produced close to nature and bottled on the estate. Distribution takes place traditionally through direct contact with customers.
