About the estate
The Weingut Kassner-Simon estate was founded in 1949 by Mathilde Kassner and Willi Simon in Freinsheim in the Palatinate region. Today, four family members manage 23 hectares of vineyards across sites such as Musikantenbuckel, Oschelskopf, and Schwarzes Kreuz. A variety of soils provide ideal conditions for grape varieties including Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Merlot. The winery emphasizes a controlled, environmentally conscious approach to nature, combining modern technology with traditional methods. The wines are produced in a newly built cellar at the foot of the Musikantenbuckel vineyard.
The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to retail.
