About the estate

The Karl May winery looks back on a traditional history dating back to 1815. Today, the estate in Rhenish Hesse is managed jointly by the brothers Peter and Fritz May in the seventh generation. The vineyards extend across sites in Bechtheim, Westhofen, and Osthofen, including renowned locations such as Goldberg, Geyersberg, Morstein, and Brunnenhäuschen. Grape varieties like Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive on diverse soils such as limestone and loess. The team places great emphasis on craftsmanship, nature, and a sustainable agricultural cycle in the vineyard.
