About the estate

The Weingut Julianenhof, Jochen und Laurenz Schmitt GbR estate is located in Nierstein in the Rheinhessen region. The vines of the winery grow in Nierstein mainly on two different soil types, the Rotliegendes at the Red Slope as well as on yellow limestone. These top sites such as Pettenthal, Hipping, Oelberg and Orbel shape the character of the wines. On these soils, the estate cultivates Riesling, Sylvaner, Pinot varieties and red wine varieties, among others. In addition, the estate's wines are also offered in the south in Spain.
