About the estate

The Weingut Johannes Holzer estate cultivates nine hectares of vineyards in the Kamptal region of Lower Austria. The traditional family-run business is managed in the third generation by Johannes Holzer, who took over the winery in 1991. The sites such as Stein, Karl, Haidsatz, Ritzental, Hasel and Hütweg are characterized by primary rock, loess and gravel soils. These vineyards provide ideal conditions for grape varieties including Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Frühroter Veltliner, Sankt Laurent, Gelber Muskateller, Zweigelt and Chardonnay. Production follows the criteria of the Nachhaltig Austria certification.
