About the estate

The Weingut Gehring was founded in 1959 by the former cooper family in the old town center of Nierstein in Rheinhessen and relocated to a contemporary wine estate in 2001. Cultivating 15 hectares of vineyards under organic management, the estate produces 85 percent white wines and 15 percent red wines. The work in the vineyards is carried out close to nature, drawing upon renowned sites in Rheinhessen. The wines are aged traditionally in both stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels. The portfolio is distributed to private customers, gastronomy, and the wine trade alike.
