Weingut Felshof

About the estate

The Felshof estate is located high above the rooftops of the Franconian wine village Sommerhausen amidst the vineyards. The sunny and dry climate in the Main valley as well as different soils and cultivation methods provide ideal conditions for characterful wines. The winery is run by Karl Wenninger and his sons Andreas and Michael Wenninger. The working methods include close-to-nature management, reduced yields, and extensive manual labor with selective hand harvesting. The vineyards are planted using cordon training among other methods, and part of the wines undergo spontaneous fermentation.

The eno directory lists 34 wines, mostly from Silvaner and Scheurebe. The estate sells to retail.
