About the estate

The Weingut Dreihornmühle GbR estate in Westhofen looks back on a long history, with the mill property first mentioned in 1576 and acquired by the Orb family in 1928. Today, Fabian Ring and Fred Orb manage the winery, drawing upon a family tradition rooted in the year 1464. The portfolio features wines such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, cultivated in sites like Westhofener Kirchspiel and Westhofener Steingrube. The soils are characterized by marl, limestone, and loamy deposits, imparting minerality and aging potential to the wines. Furthermore, the estate is a member of the Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen initiative.
