About the estate

The Weingut Cobenzl estate is one of the most important wine producers in Vienna and has been owned by the City of Vienna for over 115 years. Covering a vineyard area of approximately 60 hectares, the estate cultivates vineyards in Grinzing, on the Nussberg, and on the Bisamberg. The sites are characterized by various soils such as calcareous sandstone, where grapes including Grüner Veltliner are grown. Since 2023, the estate has been certified organic and produces wines as part of the municipal forestry and agriculture operations. Distribution takes place both nationally in Austria and internationally to various countries.

The eno directory lists 20 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to retail and distributors. Export markets include Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
