About the estate

The Christian Heußler winery located in Rhodt, Palatinate, looks back on a family tradition dating back to 1750, while the marketing of estate-bottled wines began in 1996. Today, three generations work together to manage 17 hectares of vineyards. The natural cultivation methods in the sites include both machinery and traditional horse-drawn farming, particularly used to prevent soil compaction in young vines and selected producing plots. The portfolio benefits from the region's diverse soils shaped by tectonic shifts, where varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir thrive. In the cellar, the estate relies on controlled fermentation and extended aging on the fine lees.
