The Bachtler estate in Burrweiler looks back on a history that was established in 1894 by Peter Bachtler. The business has been run by the family across several generations, with Heinz Bachtler converting it entirely to viticulture between 1965 and 1996. Since 1997, Markus Bachtler has headed the winery, which has since expanded its vineyard area from five to ten hectares. The portfolio includes German quality wines and sparkling wines from the Palatinate region.
