About the estate

The B. Frieden estate is located in Nittel on the southern Moselle within one of Europe's oldest wine-growing regions. The winery looks back on a long tradition and is run by master winemakers and technicians. The grapes thrive on sunny shell limestone soils as well as dolomite and limestone rocks in vineyards situated no further than five kilometres from the estate. The portfolio includes traditional wines such as Elbling and Red Elbling, various Pinot varieties and Auxerrois, complemented by grower sparkling wines. Management places great emphasis on environmentally conscious cultivation, deliberate yield reduction and modern cellar operations.

The eno directory lists 28 wines, mostly from Elbling and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to retail.
