About the estate

The Achenbach estate, located in Wonsheim in Rheinhessen, looks back on a long family tradition dating back to 1783 with the historic main building of the homestead. Today, the younger generation manages the winery, having consistently transitioned the business to organic viticulture. The vineyards are spread across sites such as the Siefersheimer Heerkretz, Wonsheimer Hölle, Siefersheimer Martinsberg, Wonsheimer Sonnenberg, and Volxheimer Mönchberg. These locations are characterized by volcanic bedrock, calcareous deposits, as well as clay and loess soils. The portfolio includes wines such as Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, and Sauvignon Blanc.

The eno directory lists 35 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
