About the estate

The Weinbau Gerhard Wunderlin winery was founded in 1984 by Gerhard Wunderlin, who started with an area of 15 ares after completing his apprenticeship as a winemaker. Since 2001, his wife and oenologist Andrea Wunderlin has been working in the business, where they jointly oversee production in the vineyards and the cellar. The vines are cultivated in various locations in Zeiningen, Magden, Elfingen, and Obermumpf on diverse soils such as loamy, clay-loess, or marl and limestone-dominated ground. The grape variety portfolio includes numerous varieties such as Riesling-Silvaner, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and several fungus-resistant varieties. During work in the vineyard and during vinification, the estate strives to preserve the uniqueness of each individual terroir.
