About the estate

The Vinařství Zapletal winery in Velké Bílovice was founded in 1994 by Václav Zapletal, continuing a family winegrowing tradition that dates back to the early 19th century. Since 2005, the estate has been run by the family alongside his son Jan. The winery farms twenty hectares of vineyards in the Morava region, situated across the Nová Hora, Zadní Hora, Dlouhá Hora, Široká Hora, and Od Čejkovska sites. Winemaking combines modern techniques with traditional methods such as vat fermentation and maturation in wooden barrels. The portfolio features a diverse range of white, red, and rosé wines, including numerous classic grape varieties as well as Frizzante.
