About the estate

The Villa Canestrari di Franchi Adriana estate looks back on a long history that began in 1888 with Carlo Bonuzzi in the Val d’Illasi. Today, the winery is run in the fourth generation and cultivates around twenty hectares of vineyards in the hilly area between Colognola ai Colli and Illasi. The soils are of alluvial, calcareous and volcanic origin and, together with diverse microclimates, provide optimal conditions for viticulture. Indigenous grape varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Garganega and Trebbiano are cultivated. These yield characteristic wines of the Soave DOC, Soave Superiore DOCG and Valpolicella DOC denominations.
