About the estate
The Vigneti Vumbaca estate is located in Cirò, Calabria, and covers a total area of approximately 13 hectares, with about 6 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The roots of the property trace back to 1984 with the acquisition of the first land plots in the Sant’Anastasia district, while the commercial winemaking and the estate itself were established in 2019. Farming is conducted organically on hilly clay-sandy and clay-calcareous soils using spur-pruned cordon and bush vine training systems. The focus lies on native grape varieties such as Gaglioppo, Greco Bianco, and Pecorello, cultivated without the use of chemical products.
