About the estate

The Ugo Vezzoli winery is based in a historical seventeenth-century palace in Palazzolo sull'Oglio in Lombardy. The history of the estate dates back to 1981, when the first vineyard of Chardonnay grapes was planted. Today, the cantina produces around 50,000 bottles of Franciacorta DOCG alongside nearly 10,000 bottles of quality sparkling wine. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, followed by soft whole-cluster pressing and a minimum of twenty-four months of secondary fermentation in the bottle according to the traditional method. Processing and ageing take place in cellars spread across two levels, utilizing part of the nineteenth-century rural buildings.
