The Heretics project was established to champion English wine and focus entirely on the top end of the quality spectrum. The first grapes for the wines come from Essex, specifically the Crouch Valley, which is noted for achieving high ripeness levels. The business is operated by two individuals who intentionally avoid mainstream and large-scale production in favor of distinctive wines. By working closely with top growers, the estate has achieved listings in Michelin-starred restaurants. Drawing on extensive backgrounds in the hospitality sector and design, the founders bring professional expertise to their winemaking endeavors.
