Tenuta Montedelma

About the estate

The Tenuta Montedelma estate is located in an ancient and noble village in Franciacorta in Passirano and dates its history back to 1335. The vineyards are situated on the slopes of Monte Delma and in Provaglio d’Iseo on fluvioglacial, distal colluvial, and thin morainic soils. Cultivated grape varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. The vines are planted at a density of around 5000 to 5050 vines per hectare and are trained using Guyot or spurred cordon systems. The winery specializes in producing wines of the Franciacorta DOCG denomination.
