Stadswijngaard Hof van Almere

About the estate

Founded in 2010, the Stadswijngaard Hof van Almere is an urban vineyard situated on a ten-meter-high, southeast-facing slope within the Almeerder Hout ecological nature reserve near Almere. Covering a vineyard area of 0.3 hectares, the estate cultivates a total of 1,500 vines comprising the Rondo, Cabernet Cortis, Johanniter, and Solaris varieties. The property is managed in an environmentally and people-friendly manner, and the grapes are processed using traditional methods. This production yields 1,500 to 2,000 bottles of white and rosé wine annually for the local population and tourists. Wine enthusiasts also have the opportunity to lease grapevines.
