About the estate

The Staatsweingut Weinsberg in Württemberg looks back on a history dating back to the founding of the school in 1868. The estate is known, among other things, as the birthplace of well-known grape varieties such as Kerner and Dornfelder, as well as a member of the Association of Prädikat Wine Estates. Vinification takes place in a modern cellar featuring a wood barrel cellar for traditional casks and barriques, as well as a historic sandstone vaulted cellar for sparkling wine production. In addition, the winery features its own distillery for spirits and liqueurs produced from its own fruit.

The eno directory lists 24 wines, mostly from Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.
