About the estate
The Rufino Lecea Blanco family winery is located in San Asensio in the heart of Rioja Alta and is one of the smallest estates in the region. Following the founder's return to his homeland, the old family cellar with its underground calado and traditional stone elements was revived. With a limited production and an artisanal approach, old Tempranillo vines are cultivated on clay-limestone soils. The portfolio ranges from fresh carbonic maceration wines to profound Crianza wines with a strong regional identity. The entire working method is dedicated to preserving the origin's identity and the character of the vineyards.
