About the estate
The history of the Riojanas estate dates back to 1890, when the Artacho family founded the winery together with Rafael Carreras. The vineyards cover an area of more than 200 hectares across Cenicero, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and nearby localities. In addition to the primary Tempranillo variety, the estate cultivates significant holdings of Mazuelo and Graciano on clay-limestone soils. During harvest and production, the team combines traditional expertise with advanced winemaking techniques within the Rioja denomination.
