About the estate
The Rioja Vega estate was founded in 1882 by Felipe Ugalde, making it one of the historical producers in the region. The estate spans 70 hectares of vineyards situated between the Ebro river and the Sierra de Cantabria, cultivated with Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano grape varieties. The production combines traditional Rioja winemaking methods with modern technology. Since 2001, the winery has been located in a purpose-built facility in the center of its own vineyards. The wines are produced under the Rioja DOCa denomination.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Graciano and Tempranillo. Export markets include Germany, United Kingdom and Switzerland.
