About the estate
The traditional Retter-Kneissl estate is located in Hartberg in the Vulkanland Steiermark region and looks back on a history documented as far back as 1313. The estate's name was established in 1806 through a marriage, while the associated traditional wine tavern began in its current form in 1962. Today, the East Styrian winery is managed by Christina and Wolfgang Retter-Kneissl, who together with the family embody traditional winemaking craftsmanship. The wines reflect their origin from the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC denomination.
