About the estate
The ΟΙΝΟΠΟΙΕΙΟ ΤΡΟΥΠΗ winery located in Tripoli was established in 2010, though the family's viticultural involvement with its private vineyards dates back to the 1970s. Situated within the Mantinia PDO, the production focuses primarily on the aromatic and vibrant Moschofilero variety, alongside a newer vineyard planting of Assyrtiko. Winemaking practices include alternative methods such as maturation in ceramic vessels, concrete tanks, oak and acacia barrels, as well as extended skin contact, native yeasts, and minimal intervention. The estate also utilizes specialized studies to identify and select indigenous yeast strains from its own vineyards to enhance wine quality.

Iridescent orange in color, it looks sort of like a rosé but has considerable heft on the palate. Moschofilero is a white grape with purplish skin, and the color comes from leaving the juice on the skins for a time after pressing.
