About the estate

The ΤΗΝΙΑΚΟΙ ΑΜΠΕΛΩΝΕΣ estate is located on the Greek island of Tinos within a protected landscape characterized by round granite boulders. About fifteen years ago, Alexandre Avatangelos and Gérard Margeon envisioned the recreation of the vineyards that existed there thousands of years ago. The vineyards are planted with indigenous grape varieties that have existed in the Cyclades since antiquity. Winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt and oenologist Thanos Georgilas focus on preserving the environment sustainably and expressing the unique identity of the terroir. The wines are exported internationally, including to markets in Europe and the United States.
