Poscharnig

About the estate

The Poscharnig estate is a traditional family business located in Leutschach an der Weinstraße at the southernmost point of Styria. The origins of viticulture date back to 1890, and the farm is currently managed in the fourth generation of family ownership. On approximately five hectares of vineyards, eight different grape varieties are cultivated close to nature to produce typical wines. Reinhard and his daughter Viktoria jointly manage the vineyard work and the vinification of the wines in the cellar. In addition to viticulture, the operation also includes the cultivation of elderberry and runs a traditional wine tavern.

The eno directory lists 10 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Zweigelt. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany.
