About the estate
The Poggio Grande estate in Castiglione d'Orcia, Tuscany, looks back on a history dating back to 1907 with the Zamperini family. In 1999, Luca Zamperini established the winery and has since run the operation as an organic family business alongside his daughter Giulitta. Spanning six hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, they cultivate Sangiovese as the principal grape variety alongside international varieties. Traditional rural values are combined with experimental methods and technological innovation in the cellar processes.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Syrah.
