About the estate
The Pitars estate has family roots dating back to 1644, while the modern winery was established in 1968 by Angelo Pittaro. Today, the estate is managed by family members across the provinces of Pordenone and Udine. The vineyards cover more than 160 hectares in Friuli Venezia Giulia, situated on the stony and gravelly riverbed soils of the Tagliamento. The wines are grown in the Friuli Grave denomination area, reflecting the distinct local climate and the long-standing family winemaking tradition.
