About the estate
The Monzio Compagnoni estate is located in a 15th-century farmhouse in Adro in the heart of Franciacorta and was founded in 1995 by Marcello Monzio Compagnoni. The winery cultivates a total of 37 hectares of vineyards, with 10 hectares situated around the cellar in Adro and another 27 hectares located in the municipalities of Adro, Cologne, Cazzago San Martino, and Cortefranca. These vineyards are planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc, featuring an average vine age of approximately 15 to 20 years. The diversity of soils and microclimates across these different areas imparts a unique character and complexity to the sparkling wines of the Franciacorta DOCG denomination. The production process is continually refined through a longstanding collaboration with experienced winemakers and agronomists.
