About the estate
The Microbodega del Alumbro winery is run as a family project, with the son Abel having officially joined the operation. The work focuses on small vats from old vineyards featuring traditional local varieties such as the distinctive white grape Mariblanca. The average age of the vines exceeds 75 years, which survive as scattered old cepas mostly among Tempranillo plots. After starting out in a home garage, the estate now operates on a nearly two-hectare property with a large facility. Winemaking practices include natural sparkling wines and ancestral method production.
