About the estate
The Meukow house was founded in 1850 when two brothers originally from Silesia, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow, were sent to France in search of eaux-de-vie. Following several trips, they decided to establish a commercial office in the town of Cognac on August 1, 1862. The brand developed rapidly right after its creation. In 1865, Henri Bouraud acquired shares and became the partner of the Meukow brothers.
