About the estate
The Mas du Pountil estate is located in the village of Jonquières in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac northwest of Montpellier. The winemaking tradition of the Bautou family dates back several generations, before Brice Bautou established the estate in 2000 and founded an independent winery. Today, the property spans 15 hectares of vineyards, which have been farmed organically since 2009. Indigenous yeasts are used for the vinification of the distinctive wines to optimally express the respective terroir.
