About the estate

The Les Domaines de la Mette estate in Portets cultivates 82 hectares of vineyards in the Bordeaux region, distributed across the AOC Graves and AOC Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. The history of the property dates back to the late 19th century when Château Millet was rebuilt under the Ravez family, whose background is closely tied to the regional wine trade. Later, Jean-Baptiste Solorzano expanded the historical heritage by acquiring additional properties including Château Prieuré-Les-Tours, Château Martin, Château Claron, Château Clos Renon, and Château Clos de l’Abbaye. Today, the vineyards thrive on clay-limestone subsoils with vines ranging from 15 to 30 years of age. The estate operates under environmentally conscious practices and holds official certification for high environmental standards.
