About the estate

The Laurel Vines, Vineyard & Winery estate is a carbon-neutral operation with a low environmental impact located in the small hamlet of Aike in East Yorkshire. Following the first plantings in 2010, the vineyard has expanded to a total of 15,500 vines covering twelve different varieties, including the three Champagne varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. In 2016, a state-of-the-art winery was built featuring temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and wine filtration. The portfolio includes still wines, sparkling wines produced via the Champagne method, and red wines aged in French oak barrels. Vineyard management relies on organic pest and fertilizer treatments alongside gentle pruning techniques to ensure vine longevity.
