About the estate

The Kugel estate is a family-run business with approximately eleven hectares of vineyards located amidst the vineyards on Grassnitzberg in South Styria. The winery is managed by Christian Kugel Jr. and his wife Stefanie with the support of their son Ben. Shaped by shell limestone soils and a sunny climate, the estate cultivates its vineyards following natural principles, including cover cropping and the avoidance of herbicides and insecticides. The grapes are selected and harvested entirely by hand, followed by careful and intensive work in the wine cellar.
