About the estate
The family-owned Kővágó Pince estate is located in Abasár within the Mátra wine region and was established in 2013 by a young pair of siblings based on a family heritage. The vineyards cover 30 hectares on the southern slopes of the Sár-hegy, characterized by volcanic soil and a unique microclimate that favor viticulture. In addition to winemaking, the family has been engaged in grapevine propagation for over a decade on a dedicated plantation of nearly five hectares. Guests are welcomed for wine tastings in a tasting room situated directly above the cellar.
