About the estate

The Kaggera socetà cooperativa winery was established in 1970 by a group of winegrowers who united in a cooperative, growing over the years into a significant operation. The estate covers approximately 1500 hectares of vineyards extending across the municipalities of Calatafimi Segesta, Castellammare del Golfo, Alcamo, Buseto Palizzolo, Vita, and others. The soils are predominantly hilly with a medium texture and tend towards clay. Around 30 percent of the total grapes supplied by the members come from organic farming, with a strong upward trend expected in the coming years.

The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Nero d'Avola and Pinot Noir.
